Heavy rain appears to have contributed to an Interstate 15 rollover crash Sunday that caused a man driving north to be ejected over the divider and into a southbound lane near Sloan.
Around 4:45 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol received a call about an older-model white Cadillac that veered left into the median and rolled over.
The driver was taken by helicopter to University Medical Center's trauma center. A female passenger crawled out of the vehicle and was able to speak with paramedics, said Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott.
The cause of the accident is unknown, but witnesses speculated that the rain was a factor, Elliott said.
