The Las Vegas 51s fell behind by seven runs midway through Saturday's game at Salt Lake and lost 10-8 despite scoring five runs in the fifth inning.
Salt Lake led 8-1 after the four innings, but Las Vegas batted around in the fifth to trim its deficit. Matt den Dekker’s three-run triple highlighted the scoring outburst.
Lucas Duda went 3-for-4 with two runs for Las Vegas, Zach Lutz had three hits and three RBIs, and Ruben Tejada was 2-for-5.
Former UNLV player Efren Navarro had three RBIs to lead Salt Lake.
The series continues Sunday.
