A climber at Red Rock National Conservation Area fell Friday morning, and rescue workers have called for an airlift, Metro Police said.
The climber reportedly suffered a head injury. The person is believed to be in their 50s, but the sex of the victim was not known
At 10:52 a.m., emergency responders received a report of a person who had fallen while climbing in Pine Creek Canyon, according to Metro Officer Larry Hadfield. Initial reports indicate the person was scaling a rock-climbing route known as Birdland.
A medical helicopter has been requested, police said.
