Infielder Omar Quintanilla prepares to field a grounder during Las Vegas 51s practice at Cashman Field Tuesday, April 2, 2013. The 51s open the season Thursday against the RiverCats at Sacramento. This is the first year the 51s are affiliated with the Mets.

The Las Vegas 51s beat the visiting Sacramento RiverCats in the ninth inning Wednesday when Omar Quintanilla singled home Eric Campbell with the winning run in a 3-2 victory at Cashman Field.

Campbell doubled with one out in the ninth and Quintanilla followed by singling to center to end the game, giving Las Vegas its second win in six home games during an eight-game homestand.

Las Vegas scored twice in the seventh inning to erase a 2-0 deficit and tie the game. Quintanilla had a run-scoring double in the outburst and a Brian Bixler single scored the other run.

The Las Vegas bullpen surrendered just one hit in four innings with reliever Robert Carson earning the win.

Las Vegas returns to action at 7:05 p.m. Thursday against Sacramento. It’s the franchise’s first popular Dollar Beer Night promotion of the season.
