Coroner ID’s woman killed in crash with pickup truck

A driver police say was killed Tuesday when she ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck has been identified as Brenda Autry Zinser, 54, of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Zinser’s young grandson, a passenger in her car, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, authorities said.

Zinser was driving a Hyundai sedan north on Decatur Boulevard and may have been distracted by her cell phone when she ran the light and collided with the pickup headed west on Gowan Road, North Las Vegas Police spokeswoman Chrissie Coon said.

The 71-year-old Las Vegas man driving the pickup truck also suffered serious injuries, Coon said.
