Police ID victim, suspect in fatal stabbing

Additional details have been released in a Sept. 17 stabbing that left a 23-year-old man dead.

Metro Police in a news release Thursday morning identified the victim as William Fetting and one of the two suspects as 45-year-old James Epps.

Last week, Epps and another man approached Fettig at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Orland Street, police said. The two suspects and the victim began to argue and ultimately began to fight. Fetting’s father was there and pulled one of the assailants off his son to discover that he been stabbed. The suspects then ran away.

Epps is described as a 6-foot-3, 185-pound black man, police said. The other suspect is described as black, under 6 feet tall, about 190 pounds, and between 25 and 30 years old.
