Odds maker Johnny Avello, Steve Wynn’s race book guru, doesn’t hold out much hope for the Las Vegas-linked contenders on the new all-star Season 15 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” to claim victory and the mirrored disco ball trophy.
Johnny thinks Las Vegas regulars Pamela Anderson (a former Strip headliner) will be booted tonight, and early on into the contest, Joey Fatone (Tropicana headliner and “The Prices Is Right Live” host at Bally’s) and Kelly Monaco (inaugural “Peepshow” headliner at Planet Hollywood and Season 1 “DWTS” champion) will go, too.
He gives better odds to Sabrina Bryan (Tropicana headliner) and Melissa Rycroft (who honeymooned in Vegas), but after Monday night’s premiere, he already believes that it will come down to NFL legend Emmitt Smith with Cheryl Burke and Olympic champion Apolo Ohno with Karina Smirnoff in the finals.
We’ll have the dance floor photos of the first elimination here Wednesday. The odds, for entertainment purposes only, as of today: Emmitt and Cheryl, 4 to 1; Apolo and Karina, 5 to 1; Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd, 6 to 1; Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough, 7 to 1; Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani, 8 to 1; Sabrina Ryan and Louis Van Amstel, 10 to 1; Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 14 to 1; Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower, 15 to 1; Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya, 20 to 1; Kelly and Val Chmerkovskiy, 25 to 1; Joey and Kym Johnson, 35 to 1; Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, 45 to 1; and Pamela and Tristan MacManus, 150 to 1.
