President Barack Obama is expected to campaign in Las Vegas on Sunday, as part of a western swing prior to the Oct. 3 debate in Denver.
Obama’s campaign confirmed the "grass-roots" campaign event, but said further details are unavailable. An email from Obama for America’s Nevada political director mentioned the visit.
The visit would be Obama’s ninth to Nevada this year. His last visit to Southern Nevada was Sept. 12.

Choosing between a businessman and a great communicator is the choice America`s youth will make in the November elections. College gals and bikini wearers prefer the candidate with the Jive talk and captivating bedroom manner. Youngsters out to make a buck, want their leader to be a businessman with a record of success. Retirees with a pension or Social Security check do not care about the economy; most are lonely and all they want is a blast of Obama`s warm and sugary words. Serious minded voters are in the minority that is why Romney is behind in the polls.
For someone who said you shouldn't blow money in Vegas President Obama is sure spending a lot to buy our votes.
A great way of Obama sealing his victory. There is no way that Romney can win. It will be an early night Fl VA ,,, will be all over with. Nevada is the Icing on the cake.
Sandoval has abandoned Mitt Romney and went to China. Palenty quit. Christy, Jindal and Santorium are campaigning in IA for 2016.
It is all over with. Vote early ...
For a man who really says nothing to keep coming here and spewing his b/s on the intelligent citizens of Nevada tells me he is desperate and I do feel he is trying to buy votes. Course mine vote does not even come close to him.
I look at Obama as a person who promises so much and delivers so little.
Only two in ten people in Nevada know what they pay in property taxes.
People that rent, don't think they pay ANYTHING!
What are we going to hear - we need to raise taxes for redistribution
OBAMA "I think the TRICK is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool resources and hence facilitate some redistribution -- because I ACTUALLY BELIEVE IN REDISTRIBUTION ... to make sure that everybody's got a shot."
Why does Obama need taxes to buy votes
Remember the part where the OBAMA STIMULUS extend unemployment checks to 99 weeks or the part where the OBAMA STIMULUS eliminated the 3 month limit on able-bodied people being on Food stamps or the part where OBAMACARE gives premium subsides to people making up to $88.4k or the part where work for welfare rules now allow for smoke cessation class to qualify for the dole
Welcome back to Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Henderson Nevada. I hope to get a ticket to come and listen. I hope to see some Tea Baggers or I call Tea Headers outside giving there 1st Amendment try.
Caribou Barbie knows how to balance a checkbook, does President Obama or Romney even know what their last power bill was?
Obama lives in the WH he does not pay any bills no rent no food no power no entertainment and no taxes on all that free stuff
I am voting Obama, the Jewish guy for Netenyahoo convinced me Go Obama !!
Romney isn't winning. His 47% comment turned off more than the 47%.
99%ers are the one's not winning.

I heard a report on NPR about TV and Radio etc making tons of money. People are buying new satellite trucks etc with the ad windfall.
I hope Obama eats at a local restaurant and has a beer, this will help him relate to the Nevada electorate.
Romney said people should go to the emergency room for medical care. Has that worked here?
Since Obama has done such a good job we should make him president for life and save all this election year hassle and TV program disruptions. Also we need to bring back the fairness doctrine.
I guess when he's not busy condemning single mothers, Jim is fond of parroting Karl Rove.
Jim's debunked here: http://factcheck.org/2012/09/crossroads-...
We look forward to welcoming you back to Las Vegas, Mr. President.
I am going Obama too. Why divide us with all Romneys anger and hate? Together we are better. Obama 2012!
It ammzes me how many time this OBOZO has come to Las Vegas, yet ignores world events that require his attention. One might wonder what his attraction to the area is. Does she have a name? Will he still keep coming back after Mr Romney takes over duties as POTUS? Time will tell.
I tire of his visits and the havoc it creates.
Welcome to Las Vegas Mr Obama. Now go home.
WELCOME BACK TO LAS VEGAS,PRESIDENT OBAMA!
YOU ARE WELCOME ANYTIME.
Please ignore the ignorant comments by the
heartless republicans who post here.
They don't know any better.
They never learn.
Nevada is a blue state and we're keeping it blue.
DEMOCRATS FOREVER!!!
The President is firming the message before early voting begin next month. Nevada is one of the early voting States.
President Obama will win re-election by 6 to 8 points.
Obama's record:
Unemployment is 8.3% and has been above 8% for 42 straight months!
Underemployed is over 15%
The price of gas -- When Obama took office, a gallon of gas cost you $1.85. Today, it's up to $3.59 per gallon (July's rise was 17 cents a gallon).
GDP has consistently been under 3% which is awful.
71% of small business owners believe we're still in a recession.
You have to work 107 days each year just to pay Federal, State, & Local taxes -- That means
you don't earn a penny until April 18th.
More than 30% of unemployed Americans have been out of work for more than a year -- In
2007, that number was 10%.
Low income America -- According to NBC News, virtually half of all Americans are considered
to be "low income" or living in poverty.
Propping up the economy by monetizing our massive debt -- In 2008, the Federal Reserve
bought "negligible" amounts of our debt, last year the Fed purchased 61% of the government
debt issued by the Treasury Dept.
The price of gold when Obama was inaugurated, $850 an ounce. Today, gold is over $1500.
Billions Spent on Green Energy is just gone with no results.
Every time President Obama comes to Las Vegas, Sheldon Adelson s blood pressure goes up.
I luv it....
Will he apologize for being on "The View"?
All very nice, Bill, except:
The president has nothing to do with the price of gasoline. That is set by world demand.
The president doesn't set the tax rate.
The president doesn't control the price of gold. Again, supply and demand.
Our economic problems didn't magically appear on inauguration day. Handing control back to the people who caused this mess in the first place seems like a very bad idea.
President Barack Obama is ALWAYS welcome in Las Vegas!
Of course President Obama is welcome to Las Vegas. Anytime.
But what I find incredibly hilarious is the usual suspects here on the LV Sun posting inflammatory comments at any article that mentions his name. And that's fine. Go ahead on with your bad self. Free speech is somethin', ain't it?
But it's just signifying and testifying...just empty talk.
Right now, the grassroots pound the pavements efforts in Nevada are in full gear. As of today, in the Las Vegas area, the Democratic Party registered voters outnumber the Tea/Republican Party registered voters by just about 100,000. And Statewide, it's about 65,000. The latest polls show President Obama has a 7 point lead here in Nevada.
Contrary to popular belief, casino owners like Adelson and Wynn, with all their money thrown at the election, not to support Romney, but because they hate President Obama, don't comprise the majority of voters out here. As a reminder, the voters here aren't just Romney's 47 percent. They are part of the entire 99 percent population of Americans. And the fat cat casino owners that are trying to influence the election are way less than 1 percent. We outnumber them. And they know that. That's why they continually try to throw money at their problem, trying to get the discussion changed their way....all in order to get Nevadans to vote against their best interests. Casino owners hate paying taxes. They want a Tea/Republican in office. Because they love them Bush Tax Cuts.
I'm not fooled by all the deflecting they are frantically doing.
The commenters here on LV Sun that spew ultra-conservative nonsense, most of it without any facts to back it up, are standing on a railroad track, screaming, jumping up and down, shaking their fists angrily at a train barrelling down the track 90 MPH.
Obama/Biden 2012! AND a Democratic Party majority in both the House and the Senate! We got a country to fix here. And quit spending time on stupid ultra-conservative nonsense that gets us nowhere.
Romney/Ryan 1040s please! Cough 'em up. Everything Senator Reid said about Romney's taxes has never been proven wrong still to this day. Release 'em, Wrong Way Romney. The American voters out here want to see what you are so secret about...which is probably the revealtion of your tax returns would verify you are hiding something horrible....so horrible it would render you unelectable.
In the 2008 election Obama and Biden beat the GOP nominees, McCain and nitwit Palin, by 12%. Polling for this race show Obama is ahead of Willard by an average of 6% and continues to add to that lead.
The president will win Nevada again and it probably won't be close again.
Nevada (6 EV) has become solid blue joining other sane western states New Mex (5 EV), Cal (55 EV), Ore (7 EV) and Wash (12 EV), making the west an important Democratic stronghold with almost one-forth of the electoral votes needed to reach the winning number of 270.
President Obama is always given a good welcome in Las Vegas.
Colin,
Another excellent comment!
get_involved (Bill Nelson) @ 12:47 a.m.:
"Obama's record" ... blah blah blah.
And President Obama will be reelected. How is that possible? Because most Americans trust the GOP about as far as they can throw them.
Since the Democrat Loyalist Party took over Congress in 2007, Nevada has LOST over $100 billion in real estate values, 7 trillion across the country and they passed what will most likely be the highest tax increase on middle and low income families in American history.
Obama.
Great. Time to slime LV again & drive away convention business? Or maybe more talk of "green jobs" that don't materialize, or support for Harry's "train to nowhere"? Real unemployment here in the valley is in the double digits and after almost fours year of him in charge we're still stuck with with a stagnant/declining economy (and a worsening situation overseas). It's time for him to retire, write some more books, and go enjoy the palatial estate he's setting up for himself in Hawaii.
The previous post is all it takes to compel some ppl to react like Pavlov's dog and repeatedly echo, parrot, and repeat the same talking points they have repeated so many times as if this time they will carry any more weight than they carried before.
.
It has literally reached a point where it doesn't matter what President Obama does, they are determined to find fault with it.
.
Such has become the manner in which little men with little minds have come to fill their time in the internet age.
I can't wait to see Obama on the VIEW !
Too bad Oblamer doesn't have his own view. Or a clue..
More koolaid anyone...
Can we talk about your record? I didn't think so...
I hope he reimburse the city for security details they must provide, I have read he has stiffed a few along his campaign trail.
Obama/Biden/Berkely 2012!
For success must be punished and demonized!
Unless you've made your money leveraging government, as they have.
Which one is on "The View" today?
For a town dependent on tourism, Obama's "off the teleprompter" remarks hurt a lot of people and killed a lot of jobs.
But since we have a strong union and high school graduates who can't spell their names, many will vote for the man because he said some nice things.... Words are what count to a liberal. Not actions...
If actions counted, Obama would have never made it this far.
America is doing really well, so 4 more years! You people are sick, 4 more years like this and this country will be done. If this guy is re-elected does he still get to blame bush and does that work for you people? The buck stops down there in Texas?

"For a town dependent on tourism, Obama's "off the teleprompter" remarks hurt a lot of people and killed a lot of jobs."
Actually, since his comment was that it wasn't a good time for "government agencies" to be running off to Las Vegas for meetings on the taxpayers dime. By perpetuating the argument that he meant private sector businesses, it seems like ppl aren't exactly acting in their best interest.
