Al-Qaida praised the killing of our Libyan ambassador and three others, encouraging more of the same in a recent statement. They called for people to drive the U.S. out of Islamic nations.
I would give them what they demand. No embassies, no aid and no tourism. Once we do that for a while, and let everyone know it is a direct result of what al-Qaida said and did, let’s see how popular al-Qaida really is in that part of the world.
I think it would be a win-win for us. Much less money spent, fewer people in danger and a less-popular terrorist organization.
