The Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am previewed his new album to clubgoers at Marquee in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. During his DJ set, he played several songs from his solo project due for release next month and is getting raves for his global smash “This Is Love.” Afterward, pals including DJ Poet and he partied at a VIP table while taking in the sounds of DJ Dash Berlin.
Hot from his two wins and DJ performances at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, DJ Calvin Harris spun to a sold-out crowd at XS in Steve Wynn’s Encore and was surprised with a big celebration. The EDM star won awards for Video of the Year for his collaboration with Rihanna on “We Found Love” and the first moon-man trophy in the new category Best EDM Video for “Feel So Close.”
The resident DJ began a 1 a.m. set when XS Managing Director Jesse Waits presented him with a giant cake in the form of the iconic award. Familiar faces in the crowd included Olympic champion Michael Phelps and social networking entrepreneur Tom Anderson, aka Tom from MySpace.
FASHION FUN: It was the night that fashion met philanthropy. Thousands of guest shoppers turned out to meet “Sex and the City” stylist Patricia Field at Crystals in CityCenter for Fashion’s Night Out complete with an enchanting performance by Nevada Ballet Theater, unique in-store experiences and restaurant tastings, all an opportunity to give back to charities.
Emmy Award-winning stylist Patricia opened a fashion showcase and had her chic models display new pieces from Roberto Cavalli, Paul Smith, Eres, Kiki de Montparnasse, Donna Karan, Jimmy Choo, Brunello Cucinelli, Bally, Marni and Ermenegildo Zegna. While in town, she dined at nearby Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina.
At the Paul Smith boutique, there was a meet-and-greet with “Fantasy” at the Luxor songstress Lorena Peril and Adrian Zmed (“Grease 2,” “T.J. Hooker,” “Surf: the Musical”). At Assouline, gorgeous models in red were joined by a choir performing Coca-Cola jingles to launch the Coca-Cola book. I bought one!
Roberto Cavalli threw a “Wild Diva” party complete with a DJ and photographer to capture guests’ “diva style,” and models in exotic lingerie struck poses in the windows at Kiki de Montparnasse. Some of the local charities included NBT, Keep Memory Alive, After-School All-Stars, the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Opportunity Village, Shade Tree and United Way.
Over at the Palazzo, fashion expert, celebrity stylist and E!’s “Fashion Police” co-host George Kotsiopoulos met with fashionistas in the Shoppes Fashion Night Out. Comedienne Joan Rivers joined in the fun with George, and the twosome went off on a shopping spree.
BIRTHDAY BOYS: Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson from ABC’s Emmy-winning hit “Modern Family” watched “The Beatles’ Love” by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage with boyfriend Justin Mikita and friends. Celebrating Justin’s birthday, the group kept it low-key ordering Fiji Water for the performance. After the show, Jesse et al went backstage to congratulate the cast and crew on an amazing production.
CRAIG’S LIST SUCCESS: Little Hurricane lived up to its name when the dirty blues and rock duo hit the stage at the Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Pool for the Boulevard Social Club. Drummer Celeste “C.C.” Spina and guitarist Anthony “Tone” Catalano performed “Shortbread,” “Homewrecker” and “Crocodile Tears.”
Little Hurricane, who rocked at Lollapalooza and were featured on ABC’s “Revenge,” formed after the San Diego natives met three years ago through Craig’s List selling their belongings to follow their dream of music success. This Thursday at Boulevard is the Hives, then Ryan Leslie on Thursday, Sept. 20.

Two-time Emmy-winning comedienne Kathy Griffin wowed the Terry Fator Theater crowd in the Mirage after fulfilling her grand marshal duties for the Pride Parade alongside fellow comedienne Margaret Cho and Joan Rivers.
Reality TV star Jack Osbourne dined at Republic Kitchen and Bar in Henderson, enjoying Nana’s mozzarella squares, a steak and a fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dessert.
Actor Edward James Olmos was at the album release party of Elvis Monroe, who premiered their new monthly shows at Red Rock Resort. Also attending, hometown producer Tom Fletcher (Ozzy Osbourne, Toto, Yes, Hillary Duff).
At Tao in the Venetian, gorgeous model Angie Everhart danced with her boyfriend as DJ Vice provided the soundtrack.
MLB legend Orel Hershiser and his family dined at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago in Caesars Palace and enjoyed smoked salmon caviar pizzas, tuna sashimi, shrimp curry and cafe chicken.
Margaret Cho and fellow comedienne Selene Luna hung out backstage with Las Vegas party host J.Son of NakedBoyNews.com at the Mirage, who welcomed singer Deniece Williams to Share Nightclub for the official Las Vegas Gay Pride Party.
Rocker Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction had lunch at Holsteins Shakes and Buns in the Cosmopolitan, enjoying a Greener Pastures salad, a Holsteins Cobb salad and a strawberry shake. The band headlined at Boulevard on Friday night.
And Grammy Award-winning singer Michael Buble dined at Joe’s Stone Crab at Caesars Palace, enjoying oysters, Pacific rock crab claws and Chilean sea bass. Comedian Russell Peters also dined at the Forum Shops hotspot.
