Accident closes road
Traffic on a stretch of Blue Diamond Road west of Las Vegas is shut down after a collision left a woman trapped inside her vehicle.
The woman’s Toyota pickup rolled over onto its side after a collision on the intersection of Blue Diamond Road and Fortney Road, said Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott.
The pickup driver was transported by helicopter to University Medical Center.
Elliott, who was en route to the accident scene, said he did not know the time of this morning’s accident or other details – including how much of Blue Diamond was being closed to traffic.
