Sexual assault
Metro Police detectives are searching for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint in his car on Aug. 28.
Police responded to a sexual assault report at Pebble Road and Durango Drive around 5:25 a.m. on Aug. 28. The victim told officers that while she was walking south on Decatur Boulevard near Russell Road a man had offered her a ride, took her to a desert area and sexually assaulted her, officials said.
Officials said detectives are looking for a 5-foot-8, 200-pound white male, who is 55 to 65 years old. He has blue eyes, military-style cropped hair with balding on top and a pockmarked, reddish complexion, officials said. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a white T-shirt, officials said.
Officials said his vehicle is described as an '80s to early '90s burgundy, four-door sedan in good condition.
