Mitt Romney shows us once again, when pressed to respond to a question by the press, where his heart is. Wednesday night on the CBS news, he was asked to be specific about what government subsidies he would cut if he were president.

I wondered whether he would say oil subsidies, coal subsidies or farm subsidies. All of those cost billions of taxpayer dollars annually. But no, without blinking he said, “Obamacare, PBS, Amtrak, the National Endowment to the Arts and the National Endowment to Humanities.” Yes, programs that most middle-class Americans benefit from.

The presidential debates are going to be very interesting. We, the voting public, need to listen carefully and let the candidates talk. They will tell us who they are and who and what issues they care about. The choice is clear between the two candidates.
