Daddy-to-be and recording artist Wiz Khalifa performed for thousands of daytime revelers at Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool to kick off the 2012 Labor Day Weekend. Wiz arrived at the weekly pool party shirtless, sporting a torso covered in tattoos, plus, a black fedora, jeans and combat boots and shouted to the crowd, “Sorry I’m not in swimming attire; I just left the poker tables!”
Fresh from the announcement of his fiancee Amber Rose’s pregnancy (she is an ex of Kanye West), Wiz partied with 20 pals enjoying Bombay Sapphire, Hennessy, Ciroc, Red Stripe and Peroni. Right before his performance, Wiz’s mother Katie “Peachie” Wimbush joined the party and enjoyed a little bubbly.
After his set opener “Taylor Gang,” Wiz took a swig of Bombay Sapphire and his orange juice drink and said, “You all are beautiful, so this one is for you,” and “Young, Wild & Free” started. The crowd sang along, and Wiz shook hands and high-fived his fans. Wiz also performed his hits “Black and Yellow” and “Work Hard, Play Hard.”
After the performance, the entourage continued their party in the VIP area behind the DJ booth, where they invited female fans to drink champagne and take shots. Thanks to contributing photographer Erik Kabik for his photo gallery of the daytime fun in the sun at the Palms.
