Metro seeks community’s help in locating woman

Metro Police is asking for the public's help locating 63-year-old Barbara Walschek, who went missing Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 around 12 p.m. Walschek was last seen in the area near Harmon Avenue and Decatur Boulevard and may be in need of immediate medical attention.

Metro Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman with serious medical issues who went missing Monday.

Barbara Walschek, also known as Barbara Danzinger, was last seen around noon Monday in the area of 4600 Royal Ridge Way, near Harmon Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, according to a police statement.

Walschek, 63, has serious medical problems that may require immediate attention, prompting police to send out the missing-person alert, said Metro spokesman Officer Bill Cassell.

The brown-haired and blue-eyed Walschek, who stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 129 pounds, was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue shirt and blue checkered pants, police said.
