Metro officer crashes motorcycle, taken to hospital

Motorcycle crash

A Metro Police traffic enforcement officer crashed his motorcycle while on patrol around 4 p.m. Wednesday near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Nellis Boulevard.

Police officials said the officer injured his right knee in the accident and was taken to University Medical Center as a precautionary measure.

Officials said the cause of the accident is under investigation. Police do not believe another vehicle was involved.
