Decatur Boulevard construction to cause delays

Improvements on Decatur Boulevard are expected to continue through Nov. 30 and cause traffic delays, city of Las Vegas spokesman Jace Radke said.

The upgrades, between Lake Mead Boulevard and Rancho Drive, include: replacement of the top layer of asphalt, modifications on the median for improved traffic flow, and installation of new traffic delineation and traffic signal loop detectors, officials said.

To avoid the construction, drivers can use Jones Boulevard or Rancho Drive, officials said. The estimated cost for the project is $1 million.
