Pedestrian hit, killed by car on West Flamingo Road

Fatal accident

A man was killed after a car struck him on Flamingo Road near Jones Boulevard on Wednesday night.

Metro Police officials said the accident occurred around 8:20 p.m. The driver drove away after the collision, but he later returned with his father. The pedestrian was found dead in the street.

Officials said it appeared the driver had been under the influence of alcohol.

Metro Police is investigating the accident and has closed down Flamingo Road near Jones Boulevard.
