Area of shooting
Police are looking for a suspect who fired several rifle shots Tuesday aftenoon and then took off on a dark-colored scooter.
Metro Police received reports of gunfire around 2:09 p.m. Tuesday. In the 3800 block of South Maryland Parkway, they found a man who had been wounded in the leg from what appeared to be a ricochet.
Police said the suspect wore a mask, and early reports indicate the shooter was carrying a .22-caliber long rifle.
The shooting occurred near Orr Middle School, police said.
