A 28-year-old Las Vegas man died Saturday after jumping off a cliff into Lake Mead, according to the National Park Service.
The incident happened about 1 p.m. near Wishing Well Cove, officials said.
The man, Jared Jarvis, was pulled from the water by friends and taken to Hemenway Harbor, where he was pronounced dead at 1:30 p.m., officials said. The incident is under investigation, officials said.

So was this cliff jumping like the sport or a suicide? I don't know if cliff jumping is legally allowed in Lake Mead, but hard to tell from this story.
