Voter registration fraud cases not widespread in Nevada, elections official reports

Despite complaints of voter registration fraud across the state, investigations by Nevada’s top elections official have uncovered no widespread illegal activity, Secretary of State Ross Miller said Thursday. Florida has been at the center of a broadening voter registration scandal, where a criminal investigation has been launched into Strategic Allied Consulting, a private vendor hired by Republicans to register voters in swing states, including Nevada. Strategic Allied Consulting has been tied to registration irregularities in a dozen Florida counties in the past week, including possibly changing voter’s political affiliation or listed address without the voter's knowledge. 1. Hate to think this way Mr. Miller but I'd venture to say that there will be several votes cast by illegals in this state. Problem is there's no way to prove it unless we pass laws to make people show photo ID, which will never happen, especially in Reids Nevada.

  2. Chuck,
You have to provide a Nevada ID number when you register... so anyone registered would have a valid Nevada Photo ID! Then you are issued a voter registration card that lists your district and registration number.. Really short of a tattoo what more do you want? blood samples? It is pretty clear since you point out Illegals as the potential voter fraud that you feel they will vote Democratic.. Not the way you are voting! If you thought they were voting Republican I bet you would not be so very concerned.....

With an average of only 40% voter turnout nationwide I doubt many of those that bother to go vote are going to be illegals going out of their way to cast their ballot! If they were... they are doing more than 60% of US citizens even take the time to do!

This idea of widespread voter fraud is the real fraud being perpetuated by the Right.

  3. Hard to believe when these people with clipboards in blue and white shirts seem to be registering anybody who can make an X.

  4. At 4 PM Thursday at the Food4less on Warm Springs, I witnessed 4 women and 2 men with Obama plastered all over their blue shirts registering voters. One woman registered a young man that had no ID. She didn't ask for ID either. She took his info and he signed the sheet. I asked her why no ID and was told it was not necessary because "they check all the names anyway." I also heard her say "well your gonna support the President, the dream act and all."

  5. After the election, I think this can be solved with a national ID and internal passport issued to all citizens.

It would be used for all legal transaction and registrations.

Why be selective of time and partisan political actions. Solve it for everyone during a period that is not related to an election.

Make every citizen prove their legitimacy for everything official. This would ensure that people would take care to preserve and use it.

From a certain date, it would be issued at every birth in a hospital. Otherwise, parents would have to go to a government office to obtain one within a certain time period.
