Continuing rain may bring flash flooding, forecasters advise

Showers and thunderstorms moving Thursday through the Las Vegas Valley prompted the National Weather Service to issue several flash flood warnings for the central and western portion of the county. Around 7:55 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for central Clark County as thunderstorms rolled through the Las Vegas and Henderson areas that could bring up to half an inch of rain.   1. I don't know about anyone else but I've been getting random blackouts as well for short periods of time.

  2. We also had a short blackout here near Flamingo & Pecos. Very heavy rain and thunder/lightening

  3. I don't need an emergency alert on my TV every 10 minutes.

  4. I've never before heard such long, continual thunder as tonight... nonstop growling for more than 30 minutes. This, between 10 and 11 p.m. over Henderson. Accompanied by lightning, hail and downpour.

  5. Crazy nearly all night near Pecos and Warm Springs. Heard the Android going off with emergency alerts several times. Rain rain and more rain.
