Pedestrian hit
An elderly man was struck by a van around 3:35 p.m. Thursday as he was walking across Flamingo Road near Jones Boulevard.
Metro Police said the man was crossing from a bus stop bench outside a marked crosswalk when a van traveling west on Flamingo struck him. The man was transported to University Medical Center Trauma in critical condition.
Police said the accident was under investigation.
