The Blue Man Group skydives onto the Monte Carlo, the new home of their show, which opens tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012.

It’s the most electrifying move on the Strip as the Blue Man Group “jumps” this morning from their Venetian theater to new quarters at the Monte Carlo. Even before their first performance there tonight, the men in blue are celebrating the new production.
Blue Man Group, trained by members of the Red Bull Air Force, at 10 a.m. will take a daring 7,000-foot-high leap above the Strip and glide to Earth landing (hopefully) on the hotel’s front driveway.
Founders Chris Wink and Phil Stanton will be joined by our Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Host Committee chairman, former Mayor Oscar Goodman, and Monte Carlo’s Patrick Miller to then flip a switch to illuminate the theater entrance to officially launch the new show and home.
Blue Man Group
Blue Man Group started their Las Vegas residency at the Luxor in March 2000 and left for the Venetian in 2005. That run ended Sept. 30, and BMG now heads to the Monte Carlo. The Jabbawockeez, who were at the Monte Carlo, move into a new theater currently under construction at the Luxor next spring.
Master magician Lance Burton previously headlined at the Monte Carlo and retired last year -- and that was when hotel executives started wooing BMG to jump hotels.
With BMG at the Monte Carlo, Brand Steakhouse at the Monte Carlo has launched a Blue Man menu. The $179 per-person price includes a three-course dinner, premium-view theater tickets and after-show cocktails at Ignite bar.
BMG has been thrilling audiences with its explosions of comedy, music, science and visual effects for more than two decades since forming 20 years ago in New York. Its various groups have and continue to perform around the world.

Robin should check is BMG history before writing an artical about them. Before they were at The Venetian they were Live From Luxor. I guess it could have been a different BMG playing at the Monte Carlo.
