California man gets prison time in Bellagio chip heist

A 25-year-old California man is going to prison for two to 5 years for a botched grab-and-run casino chip heist last May at the Bellagio resort on the Las Vegas Strip.Michael Quinn Belton of Nuevo, Calif., apologized for what he called bad judgment before a Nevada judge gave him a minimum sentence Wednesday in Clark County District Court.Belton pleaded guilty in July to felony robbery and conspiracy charges.Police say Belton and another man wore wigs and sunglasses and sprayed a noxious substance at a blackjack dealer and player before Belton snatched $115,000 worth of chips and tried to run.Casino employees ...
