Strip Scribbles: Justin Timberlake, PGA part ways; NASCAR; ‘Vegas’; and David Blaine

A few quick notes this Thursday in the Entertainment Capital of the World. Superstar singer and actor Justin Timberlake’s five-year deal with the Shriners Hospitals for Children celebrity golf tournament is not being renewed, and this week of appearances is his last as it switches over to solely a PGA Tour event next year. And thus why there’s no star-studded concert with his “Friends” this year. Our Las Vegas Motor Speedway is opening up Jan. 28-29 for NASCAR drivers and teams to test for next year’s Sprint Cup season. NASCAR, after a four-year gap, is permitting four tests over the ...

    I thought Garth Brooks had a 5-year deal. It's ending after only 3 years.
