At Lake Las Vegas, ‘We’re not doing anything different’

Visit is low-key in community surrounding president’s hotel

The most powerful man in the world has been staying at Lake Las Vegas, but about the only signs of his presence above the funereal quiet have been figures standing on cliffs, unfamiliar boats in the lake, and conspicuous roadblocks manned by men with thick necks and ear pieces. Even though President Barack Obama has been just around the corner preparing at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort for his upcoming debate against GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, no one at Lake Las Vegas seems to really care. “We’re doing what we always do. 1. I drove around LAke LAs vegas about a month ago, I had never been there. It was deserted, I really wonder how any business could survive. It certainly would make a great retreat type stay for those who want to be away from it all.
Lake Las Vegas was a good place for him to go, not much happening out there so little disruption in most peoples' lives, also I think the SS likes the idea of the location being isolated, easier to protect him.

  2. It's like Camp David West :)

  3. Our President told people not to visit Las Vegas.

Lost Convention's and meeting's damaged our Economy.

How many vacation's has our President made here plenty

He said if he couldn't fix the Economy in four year's he would be a one term President.

    I hope he's correct

  4. "Our President told people not to visit Las Vegas."
    -----------
This stuff is the biggest crock of garbage. First off he didn't tell everyone not to visit Vegas. If you listened to the speech he specifically said if you can't pay your mortgage or can't fund your kids educations you don't go to Vegas and blow a bunch of cash. Well, guess what?..he's 100% right!!
Likely included in those ideals is if you are swamped in credit card debt, out of work, can't make child support payments..whatever. I find it ironic that republicans trounce on his "don't go to las Vegas" remarks when it essentially represents the republican ideals of financial responsibility.

  5. Let's send him back to his pal Reverend Wright so they can hang out and bad mouth whitey some more...
