Rough economy in clear view for Obama on the road

Updated Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 | 10:56 a.m.

HENDERSON — Sometimes all President Barack Obama has to do is look out the window to get a firsthand look at the country's economic woes. This week in this town, the presidential motorcade speeds past opulent homes lining manmade Lake Las Vegas as he heads to the sprawling luxury development where he's preparing for the upcoming debates with Mitt Romney. But many houses here are empty, victims of Nevada's foreclosure crisis, and others are worth far less than their purchase price. Farther down the road, a golf course is abandoned — one of two shuttered in the neighborhood. A sparkling ...

  1. OBAMA PROMISED HE WOULD LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT..

Here is the acid test, the bottom line on Obama and the Democrats impact on jobs.
When the Democrats took control of congress in January 2007, the unemployment rate was 4.6 percent.
When Obama took control of the White House in January 2009, the unemployment rate was 7.8 percent.
The stated current unemployment rate is 8.3 percent.
Obama has lost 1.9 million jobs. It takes 250,000 jobs a month just to break even. Obama acts like his 100,000 jobs a month is good when its a actual net loss of jobs.

    And that is not all.
The Labor Force Participation Rate has dropped. If that rate had not dropped, the unemployment rate would have been significantly higher.
When the Democrats took control of congress in January 2007, the Labor Force Participation Rate 66.4 percent.
When Obama took control of the White House in January 2009, the Labor Force Participation Rate was 65.7 percent.
The Labor Force Participation Rate currently is 63.7 percent.

AFTER 4 YEARS OF OBAMA HE'S MADE THING'S MUCH WORSE...In Obama's own words he said "if he did not lower the unemployment rate he would be a one term President"....

  2. He didn't notice as it was time to do his football picks.

  3. Has anyone noticed how nice and blue the sky has been since President Obama came to town? No commercial or military Airliners leaving those funny white sky trails ".

It's good that we all have a clear view of our skies. Thanks Mr President...

  4. The political left in America has spent 4 years trying to justify a failed presidency.

The highest deficit George Bush ever created -- $650 billion -- is less than 50% of the LOWEST deficit Barack Obama has ever delivered, which was $1.1 trillion or more in every year.

In 4 years, Barack Obama has signed nearly 950 Executive Orders. George Bush signed 63 in 8 years in office and Ronald Reagan? He signed 3.

This President, together with the complicit, Harry Reid, have never -- ever - actually proposed or debated a budget on the Senate Floor....not one full proposal in 3 years. The government is just funded by a series of continuing resolutions...one after another....because to put forth a budget means you actually have to disclose it and defend it.

We have government by Fiat from the White House funded by the Enabler, Senator Reid, who has behaved in a way so opposite the traditions of Nevada it's hardly logical to say he represents the Silver State.

  5. Our country is so badly divided into opposing camps, like affluent vs poor or liberals vs conservatives, that we will never be able to overcome our problems. Once we were Americans, first and foremost. Now we're just a collection of hundreds of special interest groups that behave like stubborn, selfish children. Give a little from both sides so our children can have something better? Not going to happen. Take a little less in handouts so there can be a real safety net in the future? Not going to happen. The boomer generation and their spoiled brats, along with the lazy freeloaders on years of welfare, have finally done to the US what the civil war couldn't - split us right down the middle with no way out. Thanks.
