Updated Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 | 6:20 p.m.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio praised the virtues of small businesses and free enterprise during a campaign rally for Mitt Romney on Tuesday in Henderson, emphasizing a choice voters will make between two visions for the economy in the upcoming November elections. A day after Ann Romney rallied her husband’s supporters at the Henderson Convention Center, Rubio, R-Fla., addressed a crowd of several hundred people in a ballroom at the Green Valley Ranch casino. During his half-hour speech, Rubio, who spent part of his childhood in Las Vegas, focused mainly on the economy, criticizing President Barack Obama and telling the crowd ...

  1. Romney as Governator of Massachusetts came in with a $3 billion deficit and left them with a $2 billion surplus. That's the kind of leader we need.

  2. No taxes for the rich and less civil rights. Trust me people this will work.

  3. Free enterprise? What hypocrisy!

The government subsidizes BIG CORPORATIONS with lots of special tax breaks, department of commerce handouts, foreign aid to just by US weapons, etc.

Corporate welfare amounts to 100 BILLION DOLLARS.

US "Free Enterprise" is a lie.

Small businesses get screwed by unfair corporate government subsidized competition.

  4. Marco Rubio is a great American, with a great life story. We will hear more from him in future years.

  5. I agree with Bob635....but what he described is crony capitalism not free enterprise.

This country needs a return to free enterprise and true capitalsim, it's what made this nation so great but is slowly eroding before our eyes.

  6. Marco Rubio does not have Nevada interest on his list of priorities. Nor does Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan. Nevadans are not stupid! It is an insult to Nevadans for Marco Rubio to say the things he said.

Only a few hundred people came out to hear Rubio lie and distort the facts. Nevadans are not buying any of your lies Mr. Rubio. Please, go home Mr. Rubio, we do not want to hear lies and misleading statements.

  7. I agree with Longtimevegan, please go home! Not interested.

  8. More people attended my daughters graduation than attended both the Rubio and Ann Romney rallies. I guess people from Las Vegas are not real interested in joining the so called majority.

  9. Free-Dumb! They scream in wild-eyed fashion!

Free Enterprise! They below in guttural unison!

Yeeehaws! And loud shrill whistles echo through the chamber as the deuling banjos crank off!

As 70% of America is still carrying the wheel-barrow loads of rubble - that was once our middle class - decimated by the Freedumb and Free Enterprise(at all cost)policies of the GOP and Wall Street hacks - I am reminded of the phrase commonly used by comedians when a joke falls flat...
