Details from Lake Las Vegas few as president continues debate preparations

President Barack Obama, ensconsed in a Lake Las Vegas resort, today continues preparations for his first face-to-face debate Wednesday with Republican challenger Mitt Romney. While Obama’s campaign remained tight-lipped in regards to the details of the president’s debate preparation strategy, Romney’s recent comments on immigration elicited a response in a Tuesday morning press briefing. “The interview (Romney) gave also raised more questions about what exactly the policy is he would support,” said Jen Psaki, traveling press secretary. “He didn’t make clear if he has changed position on his commitment to vetoing the Dream Act. 1. Well with the current situation in Libya, and today the administration refusing to send protection to our foriegn diplomats, and with Hilary still blaming a stupid movie for the murders at our embassy, he can't be preparing to defend his foreign policy. Maybe its the economy? Well with un-employment at over 8% can't be that. MMmmm, maybe it will be about how much more free stuff he can offer to keep his job. If so where's my free cell phone.

  2. Surely, traveling press secretary Jen Psaki is kidding when she says "that's why [Nevadans] have benefitted so significantly from the president's programs, in terms of investment." Does she know those "investments" still has Nevada over 12% unemployment?

Also, I know first hand this is a joke: "And Saturday the president's radio address was all about housing, and how he thinks we need to make sure that people who are underwater who don't have mortgages backed by the government have the opportunity to refinance and save themselves $3,000".

Several times since March of this year, I have contacted my bank, which was part of the so-called National Mortgage Settlement that "would expand refinancing opportunities or lower interest rates to provide reduced payments for eligible homeowners who are current on their payments but who owe more than the current value of their homes". Each time I have contacted them, not only do I get a run-around, but the final statement is always the "Dept. of Justice is still reviewing cases." Therefore, anyone the expects any refinance assistance from the federal government, be prepared to wait (at least) several months to even get an answer as to whether or not you qualify!

  3. LVSUN.. No jabs at Lake Las Vegas please. There are hardly any vacant homes in Lake Las Vegas. Foreclosures are non-existent now. There are 4 home builders swinging hammers and Lake Las Vegas is now on a path for success. We all know the Falls and Reflection Bay golf courses are closed because the new owners are/have been unreasonable with the City of Henderson.

  4. Reemember this Bin Ladens dead Al-Quaida's alive!
