Gogobot, a global online community of 2.5 million users and travelers, has announced its first Gogobot Travelers’ Favorite Awards, and Las Vegas won big in three categories: In World’s Best Hotels and Best Hotels in North America, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas placed 1st in both categories, while Wynn Las Vegas was 7th and 5th, respectively. And, Las Vegas was voted the 6th top travel destination in the world.
Gogobot users praised the 2-year-old, 2,995-room Cosmopolitan for its “terrace suites with wraparound views,” “sexy interior” and its bar Chandelier, where “you don't have to be a millionaire to feel like one.” The cities finishing ahead of the Entertainment Capital of the World as destinations, in order: San Francisco, London, Paris (France, not Texas or Hilton), Barcelona and Rome.
Gogobot Travelers’ Favorite Awards is the first in a series of announcements over the next few months that will laud the best destinations, restaurants, hotels and attractions in the world. “Gogobot users, who have visited more than 60,000 destinations, are as knowledgeable as they are passionate about travel, making them a reliable source for all things travel related, whether it’s an amazing brunch spot or the best hotel in the world,” said Gogobot CEO and co-founder Travis Katz in a statement.
“Their choice of the Cosmopolitan is no surprise, even for such a new hotel that almost didn’t happen because of early investment constraints. But here they are today, picked by the travelers on Gogobot, who are as eager to conveniently connect, share, plan and book all in one place as they are to enjoy the hottest, most stylish accommodations in Vegas.”
Along with the views, interior and Chandelier, Cosmopolitan also offers: a world-class nightclub and dayclub in Marquee; stellar restaurants, from reasonably priced to fine dining by top global chefs, including Scarpetta (Scott Conant), Jaleo and China Poblano (Jose Andres), STK, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Milos, Comme Ca, Wicked Spoon Buffet and Holsteins; the concert venues Boulevard Pool and Chelsea Ballroom; and the bars Vesper and Bond. All in one hotel.

With world-class dining, shopping, spas, golf and entertainment, there's no shortage of things to do at Wynn. The resort’s aquatic acrobatic show, “Le Reve—The Dream,” a creation by Cirque Du Soleil veteran Franco Dragone and Steve Wynn, will leave guests wanting more with its breathtaking performances that conjure an imaginary world. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas dares to be different. From the hotel’s red reservations desks to fine art found throughout the resort, The Cosmopolitan’s signature style is helping to pave its own path on the Las Vegas Strip.
Upon entering the resort, you’re greeted by pillars of video boards playing video art by Digital Kitchen and David Rockwell Studio exclusively produced for The Cosmopolitan. Just beyond that, you’ll find all your favorite casino games on the resort’s 100,000-square-foot casino floor.
The Cosmopolitan’s rooms standout as the resort’s most unique feature. About 2,220 of The Cosmopolitan’s 2,995 rooms have 6-foot deep terraces that span the length of the room, a first at a modern Strip hotel. Other in-room amenities include soaking tubs, kitchenettes and quirky accessories like artsy coffee table books.
The dining experience at The Cosmopolitan isn’t something you’ll find at other Strip resorts, either. All of The Cosmopolitan’s 13 restaurateurs are new to the Las Vegas market. You’ll find American steakhouse fare in a modern setting at STK, top-notch sushi at Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill and the freshest fish flown in from the Mediterranean daily at Estiatorio Milos.
Whether the sun is up or down, Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub is the place to find the party at The Cosmopolitan. The venue is a dayclub/nightclub, complete with a pool and cabanas outside and three different rooms with three different vibes inside.
If nightclubs aren’t your thing, you can grab a drink at one of The Cosmopolitan’s five other bars, like The Chandelier, which is encased in 2 million dripping crystals.
The Cosmo is very nice, but first in the world? No. Not even close. Gogbot? Huh? Zero credibility.
I'm guessing Gogobot has never been anywhere else in the world. I won't be using their services EVER.
I've lived here for since 2000 and travel the world for my job. I can't argue the Cosmo being the top, I absolutely love going there...it just has a great "feel" to it. People can pick apart each category (restaurants, bars, check-in, etc.) but my personal opinion is it's a joy to be at.
