Police investigate sticks of dynamite left downtown

Local authorities closed part of 15th Street and evacuated nearby residents after they discovered three sticks of dynamite left in a bag in downtown Las Vegas on Monday night. Metro Police's armored unit and the Las Vegas Fire and Rescue bomb squad were called to 110 N. 15th Street about 9 p.m. after a security guard witnessed someone drop a suspicious-looking bag on the sidewalk and flagged a nearby patrol car.   1. People were not "evacuated", they were told to stay inside.

  2. Nice, so according to the article we have vagrants walking around with sticks of dynamite.

    This town just keeps getting better and better.

  3. Someone needs to investigate the Security Guard. I was the Supervisor over 1500 Security Guards in the L.A. and Orange County, CA areas in the 1980's. We had several guards that had "incidents" occur no matter where we assigned them. They just loved to be in the spotlight, so they created their own incidents.
