Hiker who fell to death at Red Rock identified

A hiker who fell to his death at the Red Rock National Conservation Area on Saturday has been identified as 31-year-old Nathan Paul McKinney of Las Vegas. The Clark County Coroner’s Office said McKinney died from the fall and ruled his death an accident. Metro Police said a female hiker called police to report the fall at about 2 p.m. Saturday. McKinney was pronounced dead at the scene.

  1. You really have to be careful on some of these trails. It's very easy to just have your foot slip or twist and then even a short fall can be deadly if you land in a awkward position. Tragic.
