No one was injured in an early morning fire Tuesday at a central Las Vegas apartment complex that resulted in an estimated $50,000 in damages.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to multiple calls about 4:40 a.m. of a fire at the Royal Crest Apartments, 3719 Hazelwood St., near Swenson Street and Twain Avenue.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire confined to a first-floor apartment.
There was no one inside the apartment at the time of the fire, and investigators continue to search for what caused the blaze, fire officials said.
In addition to the affected apartment, the second-floor exterior of the building sustained smoke damage, fire officials said.
