Slight chance of rain continues throughout valley

Morning showers Friday dropped trace amounts of rain throughout the valley, but Las Vegans can look forward to a mostly sunny fall weekend going forward.

Sporadic showers occurred throughout the valley Friday, with the heaviest rain fell in eastern Henderson, where a few hundredths of an inch of precipitation were recorded, National Weather Service meteorologist Stan Czyzyk said.

A few more isolated showers could affect the valley Friday afternoon and there’s a slight chance of rain Saturday afternoon, Czyzyk said.

Friday’s temperatures are expected to peak around 66 degrees, with a forecasted overnight low of 46.

On Saturday, the forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 65 degrees and overnight low around 48 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 66 degrees and a low around 46 degrees, according to the NWS forecast.
