Fatal accident
An elderly woman was killed Friday night when a vehicle hit her and an elderly man in downtown Las Vegas.
The two were struck on 13th Street just south of Carson Avenue around 7:30, Metro Police Lt. David Jacoby said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was taken to University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
13th Street will be shut down between Bridger and Carson avenues during the investigation, Jacoby said.
