A man was hit Wednesday morning by a four-door sedan on Las Vegas Boulevard North, just north of downtown. Metro Police officials said the man, who is in his 40s, was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition. Police received a report about the accident that took place around 11:40 a.m. in the 700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North, near East Bonanza Road. Officials could not confirm if the man was in a crosswalk.

Stay out of the damn street and you won't get hit (usually)!
I always like "Officials could not confirm if the man was in a croswalk". It would be much more helpful to the story if the reporter actually got out of their chair and let us know How Far it was to the crosswalk. Next time you drive look at the distances between crosswalks and imagine you were walking. You'll quickly discover our elected officials are completely incompetent when it comes to establishing ordinary planning guidelines available For Free from almost Any City On The Planet.
