A 49-year-old man was shot in the neck this morning while driving on Interstate 15 South, near Valley of Fire State Park, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.
The victim heard a loud pop as he was driving about 4:35 a.m. and saw the windows of his Saturn sedan shatter, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said.
He then realized he had been shot and was bleeding from the back of his neck, Hixson said.
Hixson said the suspected shooter was riding in a gold Chevy Suburban or Tahoe SUV.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center. His condition was not known, Hixson said.
Nevada Highway Patrol and Metro Police are investigating the incident.

Yeah! More guns...that's the answer if you want higher rates of death and long term injury that is.

NHP would rather stalk you in your car over bumper stickers - rather than dealing with what causes this type of problem.
Mark just remember that 89 million gun owners didn't use their guns against another person today. Your liberal logic is flawed no matter how loud or often you say it.
Be careful @nisa, if you disagree with Mark, the LVSun will remove your comment.
(Cue Mark Schaffer and his cut-and-pasted commentary ... the same as he posts on every similar story.)
The term "liberal logic" is an oxymoron.
Haha good point thinkdifferent.
Keep posting Mark Schaffer, we are with you
no, mark, we are not but your kooky posts are so funny
