It’s hard to stand in Oscar Goodman’s shadow

Sometimes, it’s a little rough hanging around former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman. Just ask Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, a member of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board of directors, who found himself in Goodman’s shadow during a few recent trips. Goodman and Weekly served together on the Las Vegas City Council, and most Southern Nevadans know who they are. That isn’t the case in Miami or Brazil — at least for one of them.   1. Oscar is the Yogi Berra of Las Vegas and guess what he is funny also.

  2. Former Mayor Goodman is one of the funniest people on planet. Oscar could fill any showroom in town just being himself. If he sought higher office I believe he would be a fine "Commander and Chief" second to only a few of our past great leaders.

    As for Oscar telling others that Commissioner Weekly was the President of Uganda that wouldn't be a hard item to accept as Commissioner Weekly walks and presents himself with the confidence of Royalty and treats people in a way that they feel good about themself.
