Students and faculty at Kahre Elementary School were evacuated briefly Tuesday afternoon after a faint odor was detected at the school, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
Firefighters and Southwest Gas officials investigated the odor and determined it to be non-hazardous, he said. Officials did not indicate the source of the odor at the school, located at 7887 W. Gowan Road.
Students returned to class.
