12-year-old transported to UMC after being hit by car

Pedestrian hit

A 12-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle just before 4 p.m. Tuesday and transported to University Medical Center.

The collision happened at the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Arville Street, Metro Police said. The vehicle’s driver pulled the girl off the road and called for help. The girl was transported to UMC with a head wound, but there were no details about the extent of the injury, police said.

The accident is under investigation, and police said it was unclear who had the right of way.
