It was business as usual at the Lucky Club Casino eight hours after a fatal shooting. A few early morning patrons occupied the slot machines that make up most of the casino, while a couple more patrons sat along the bar in the back. The Lucky Club Casino is a 95-room hotel and casino with a sports book and restaurant, located about 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and downtown Las Vegas.
Lucky Club Casino offers guests a 16,000-square-foot casino with more than 400 slot machines and a variety of table games. The on-site sports book features five 42-inch televisions.
The hotel at Lucky Club features 95 rooms with a Southwest décor. Rooms feature TVs, two chairs and a desk. The hotel also features a pool, which is open seasonally.
The 3,000-square foot Lucy's Bar and Grill, offers live music, drink specials and comfort food.
It's like a broken record. NLV and violent crime...they go together.
I thought you were allowed to carry concealed in NLV? What are the laws on that? Has it changed?
Ashley..you can't carry concealed unless you have a permit. The shooter Shanta is a felon, therefore he wouldn't be able to carry concealed or even have a firearm.

Ashley^2, you are joking, right? You need a license and those are simply not available for convicted felons. If it had a license, that charge would not have been brought.

Nothing has changed. With a PERMIT you can carry concealed in NLV and the whole state of Nevada.
If you are a convicted Felon you cannot carry at all or get a permit to carry so that is why he is charged.
No respect for law whatsoever. Convicted felon. I'm sure his court appointed attorney told him he could no longer have a gun. I'm sure his parole officer told him the same. Even before this murder was committed this guy shoud have been locked up for life. He knew he couldn't have a gun. He's not going to obey laws. Why even bother trying.
Looking at the mug shot, I can't say that I'm surprised. Just another low life that'll end up being a lifer behind bars, who can't handle life on his own without taking the life of someone else. Now he's yet another person living off of our taxes. Maybe Karma will serve him in the Stone Hotel.
I wonder if he loses his points off his players card?

All the casinos in that area are rough no matter what time of day it is. WHen I first moved to Vegas, was curious about the Speedway Casino. Went in there once and once was enough. There was bullet proof glass in front of the cage area. That was the only sign that I needed to get the heck out of there as soon as I could.
