  1. Another case of out of control police.

When is the government going to do it job and get these gun carrying vigilantes under control?

This is no longer the wild west, but the police still think it is and our government representative don't seem to care.

  2. Huh...

"In the midst of the conversation, the officer shot the man in the leg, police said."

    Huh.

  3. "It was not clear what prompted the shooting." Gives me time to establish a timeline.

  4. @Bob365,

Have you submitted for a ride a long with Metro? Have you been in a car with them for a night and seen what they have to deal with? If you have, I am not sure how you come to your conclusion. If you haven't, shut up until you do. You will get a whole new perspective on how they do their job and what they deal with.

  5. Have Metro officers ever really put their lives on the line in the past 20 years? Seems like they just shoot when they feel a little uneasy.

  6. 'It was not clear what prompted the shooting.'

    This is disturbing.

How many police officers are on paid administrative leave for shooting people now? Is there a count?

  7. Shoot first - ask questions later.

    -Metro

  8. Glad the man is still alive. Metro is now showing some judgment. That they don't have to kill everybody they shoot.

  9. Details incomplete 'cause details are not yet available. Shot in the leg is hardly an aim-to-kill shot so perhaps there is more to the story. We don't even know if the man was still sitting in the car or standing, talking to the officer.

  10. Police are not trained to shoot people in the leg or wound people. They shoot to kill or until there is no longer a theat. The fact that he was shot in the leg only means that the officer missed his target or it was a accidental discharge.
