I started working in election campaigns for Adlai Stevenson in 1952 and have remained somewhat active since.
I write this to commend those who worked on the re-election campaign in Las Vegas. From young and old, men and women, locals or imports, I have never experienced the fervor and professionalism as I did during this campaign, not even in 2008.
I can happily say that with such devoted people, we who believe in the Democratic Party and the democratic system can continue hoping and caring for everyone.
Let us hope that D.C. will now mean Deliberate Conciliation and our country can continue to be the one with the lamp held high toward the rest of the world.
Congratulations on your work and all who worked so hard in the Democratic Party effort. You all did a really great job.
This is what democracy is about, knowledge and involvement.
Others may not see things the same way, but don't be discouraged by that.
All must continue working for the 2014 election of Congressional candidates. Your dedication, organization and hard work will be much needed.

On DC changing, never happen. That's what the other person does, not you.

Mr. Malkin you must be stunned over the differences of those years and what you see today concerning negativity in campaigns.
I could very well be wrong, but I noticed the driving force behind Mitt Romney was hatred of Obama. The driving force behind Democrats was that they genuinely like Obama.

That is exactly the reasons for the outcome of this election.Nobody could make it any simpler than what you just spelled out.Great post.
The DC area only heard a rumor that there was a recession in the 57 states. Government has been doing quite well.
The driving force behind Obumma was to demonize Romney. He had no other plan other than to continue expanding the food stamp program and pander to illegals.
