Area of mugging
Police are investigating an overnight mugging that left two men injured and sent one of the victims to the hospital.
Metro spokesman Marcus Martin said that around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, at least six men confronted and demanded money from two victims in the area of the Wynn Palms Apartments near West Twain Avenue and South Valley View Boulevard. When the victims did not cooperate, they were attacked.
A 24-year-old victim who was stabbed was taken to University Medical Center, Martin said. The other victim, 22, suffered unspecified injuries, Martin said.
There were no further details on the medical status of the men.
