Crime:

Las Vegas mortgage agent fined $12,000

A Las Vegas mortgage agent has been fined $12,000 and agreed to surrender her license in a consent agreement with the state Division of Mortgage Lending.

Fiona Brady, licensed in 2009, was accused by the division of working for two mortgage companies at the same time, a violation of the law.

The complaint signed by Commissioner James Westrin said she worked for Avtek Mortgage LLC and "used the resources" of that company to provide services to Sahara Mortgage Corp. in 2010 and 2011.

Brady has agreed not seek reinstatement for five years.
