House fire
A man suffered minor injuries Monday after a North Las Vegas house caught fire.
Heavy smoke and flames could be seen from outside a home at 1829 Fighting Falcon Lane when firefighters arrived at 2:02 p.m., according to the North Las Vegas Fire Department.
Twenty-seven firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze that caused fire damage to two rooms and extensive smoke damage throughout the home, officials said. An adjacent home also sustained fire and smoke damage.
Responding firefighters found an adult male outside the home suffering from minor injuries who refused to be taken to the hospital, officials said.
There were no other occupants in the home at the time of the fire, officials said. Red Cross was not requested for assistance at this time.
No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials said.
