Man accused of arson after starting fire in Motel 6 guest room

A suspect accused of starting a fire in a Motel 6 on Boulder Highway was arrested Saturday night, according the Clark County Fire Department officials.

James Washington, 33, was booked Sunday at the Clark County Detention Center and faces counts of first-degree arson, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, an ex-felon in possession of a firearm, using a weapon to resist a public officer, possession of stolen property and stealing a vehicle.
