The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce this afternoon revealed the 2012 version of Miss Atomic Bomb, and she comes in the form of blonde bombshell and Las Vegas resident Holly Madison, star of “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood, “The Girls Next Door” and “Holly’s World.”

Madison is an appropriate choice, as she heats things up (particularly heterosexual men) when she is around and especially when she takes off her top (again and again) in “Peepshow.”

The re-creation of the photograph with Madison is in recognition of the 55th anniversary of Miss Atomic Bomb, an image snapped by Las Vegas News Bureau photographer Don English in May 1957.

Madison attended an event to unveil her photograph shot by Darrin Bush of the LVNB at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The original Miss Atomic Bomb also is pictured here; the original and updated versions are both hot, IMHO.

  1. Terrific let's celebrate events which conservatively have led to the deaths of 11,000 people.

This fixation with Madison is really creepy.

  2. Maybe Holly will now lobby for Yucca.

  3. Does this woman EVER do anything original?

  4. "Terrific let's celebrate events which conservatively have led to the deaths of 11,000 people."

And automobile accidents kill 30k-40k each year.

  5. I am in defense of Holly. I think she is THE ambassador for Las Vegas. She is very beautiful yet you don't see her in the tabloids every week (e.g. Lindsay L., Kim K. etc.). I hope there is even more coverage of her. You go girl!

  6. Lame, they should NEVER recreate famous images...near to exactly. Same clouds in BG had to be faked! Do the pic again but use your own style not an identical match pose and all, yuch.

  7. Holly is wonderful and although I don't think detonating A-bombs in our backyard is anything to celebrate, if you're going to do it, Holly is perfect for the role.
BTW, the stunning model for the original is probably Lee Merlin. I know folks were looking for her but it's not clear if she was ever located. http://conelrad.com/newswire.php?id=P249...
