Mayweather vs. Cotto Yeah, we know, it’s not Mayweather-Pacquiao, but since Cotto’s WBA light-middleweight title is on the line, there’s no way this fight will be boring. (We hope …) May 5, 9 p.m., $200-$1,500, MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Filipino Festival In a post-apocalyptic world without currency, Filipino pork adobo would be like gold. Sample other flavors and arts of the Philippines at this Town Square fest, with carnival rides, games and dance crews on the side. May 5-6, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., parking lot behind H&M.

Lei Day Two days of nonstop Hawaiian and Polynesian entertainment—aka the 15th annual Lei Day arts and culture festival—kick off Saturday in the Cal’s Downtown parking lot at Stewart and Main. Expect lots of island and Asian eats, live music and arts and crafts. May 5, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.; May 6, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Deer Tick John McCauley was playing Vegas long before his folk-rock outfit got tapped for Coachella and Sasquatch. Nice to see he’s still coming through town. With Turbo Fruits, Halloween Town, May 8, 8 p.m., $11-$13.
